Financial Intelligence, Revised Edition : a Manager’s Guide to Knowing What the Numbers Really Mean Pdf Book Description:

In all honesty, this book is among the best investments I have made. It’s among the very simplified versions of knowing the heart of any company i.e. its financial statements. I would strongly suggest this book to anybody who’s seeking to learn the fiscal side of business or just re-touch with the fundamentals in their spare time. I really do have a couple years (years ) of expertise in the area – and several moons ago I completed all the prep for Ph.d. in bookkeeping before deciding academia wasn’t where I needed to be. I taught the topic in the University level for at least 5 decades and train on this topic globally. I state this because I would like to make sure this book isn’t only for beginners, or individuals with no background in the area.

I suggest this book to everybody. Accounting and finance aren’t easy subjects particularly in the event that you jump ahead and begin with the technical elements of it. Put just the better you know the amounts – the greater your company choices will be. I see this book as providing a superb base – the further you build your core understanding of this topic the better. Bear in mind the key in company is creating better business decisions – do not be too impressed by people who can spout GAAP in the beginning with when you do not know. The actual pros are able to and should, be in a position to interpret the principles in a manner that assists in understanding (1) why the principle is that there in the first position, and (2) how it affects you company as well as the choices it makes.

This publication is written in a style which won’t place even non-accountants to sleep and it paints sufficient images with illustrations of accounting misdeeds to keep it interesting – and also to actually drive home how apparently benign (in some instances ) changes to the way trades are listed and paint a very different image of the health of a company.
