About the Writer

Robert has worked in senior technical and architecture management functions for many software companies supplying tools in the energy industry. He’s coped with designing, understanding, recommending and implementing powerful architectures for advanced scientific and business applications in Python, C++, C# and F# and Javascript. Robert is a regular speaker at conventions, meetups and corporate applications events and are available speaking about subjects as varied as behavioural microeconomics in applications development to implementing services on 8-bit microcontrollers. He’s organiser of this Oslo Python team and holds a Ph.D. in a natural science.

Austin Bingham is a founding manager of Sixty North, a software consulting, coaching, and software development firm. Prior to this he worked at National Instruments growing LabVIEW, in Applied Research Labs (Univ. of Texas in Austin) growing sonar systems for the U.S. Navy, also in a number of telecommunications firms. He’s a seasoned presenter and instructor, having spoken at many conventions, applications classes, and internal company places. Austin is also an active part of the open source community, contributing frequently to different Python and Emacs endeavors, and he is the creator of Stavanger Software Developers, among the greatest and most active social applications groups in Stavanger.
